Our heroine, Panic, wakes up to dozens of messages from her boyfriend, each one increasing in levels of panic and frustration. They had a massive fight the night before, which caused him to go home and sulk, while she went off to cool down somewhere else for the night. She keeps trying to contact him but nothing works; she can’t get through. She wants to know why he’s so agitated. Then she looks out her window, and she catches her first glimpse of the horrors about to unfold.
